This project is funded by Better Teaching Better Learning, Monash Education Academy, Monash Australia.

Facilitating discussion, interaction and feedback in the classroom are always a challenge especially in a large cohort of students due to the Asian cultural of courtesy. With the pervasiveness of mobile technologies, how these mobile devices enhance or disrupt to learning engagement remains under examined. In order to research the development of mobile technologies and computing pedagogies, educators in computing education ought to understand the learners' experience for the impact of mobile devices used in providing formative assessment and feedback.

In this proposed project, we will look into the blended use of personal response systems: Clickers and Socrative with BYOD (Bring Your Own Device).

OBJECTIVE

To motivate students to engage with the learning with the mobile devices they "live in" and fimiliar with.
